Adelaide staff climb Slieve Donard & raise £1200 for charity!
Slieve Donard is the highest mountain in Northern Ireland, at 2,786 ft. The mountain is close to the small seaside town of Newcastle on the east coast. Most of the group had never climbed Slieve Donard before, yet 24 staff reached the top! Each staff member raised £25 and Adelaide contributed a further £25 resulting in a donation of £1200 to The Ireland Air Ambulance. | |

Fantastic line up for “Adelaide International Kells Road Races 17-19 July 09.”
Good news! Cameron Donald (right in pic) has signed up as has Keith Amor (left in pic).
Other riders confirmed so far: Guy Martin, Keith Amor, Ryan Farquhar, Gary Johnson, Ian Lougher, Damien Mulleady, John Walsh, Michael Dunlop, William Dunlop, Davy Morgan, Karl Rennie,Michael Pearson.
Also making their way to Kells in July will be Chris Palmer, Bruce Birnie and Stepehen Thompson and of course past riders James Courtney, Raymond Porter, Brian Reid, Phillip McCallen, Con Law, Milky Quayle who are all taking part in the Exhibition laps to celebrate the 15th Anniversary. To make it extra special Eugene Laverty and Jonathan Rea will be joining James & Co. for the exhibition laps. All in all a top quality line up. |

The Adelaide International Kells Road Races, Co. Meath, 17-19 July 09
Top riders attended the press launch at McKeowns Motors in Kells, County Meath.
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of this event, the 2009 event will host several international races in conjunction with 12 national races. Following the success of the “Kells Co. Antrim to Kells Co. Meath 08” Ride-out in aid of the Ireland Air Ambulance, plans are already underway for Saturday 18 July, 2009. The first and second round of the 2009 SPEA FIM (Federation Internationale Motocycliste) World Championship is set to bring more than 15,000 visitors to Down District next year when the "Adelaide GP of Ireland" is staged for the first time in Donard Forest, Newcastle. Special guests at the "Adelaide Motorcycle Festival 09" press launch!
Isle of Man TT star John McGuinness and ex-British and Irish motorcross champion Gordon Crockard were the special guests at the launch of the Adelaide Motorcycle Festival 09, to be held at the Kings Hall, Belfast Feb 13 -15. The festival is off to a good start as there’s been a tremendous response from the manufacturers and dealers - all but one of the dealers from 2008 have agreed to be at the festival again with their 2009 models.

Double celebration for Adelaide!
Staff and friends celebrated Adelaide’s 17 years in motorcycle insurance, at their Boucher Road offices in Belfast. BikeSafe’s aim is to reduce the number of motorcycle accident casualties by promoting safer riding with a FREE assessment of your riding skills; this only takes an hour. As safer bikers, both Ryan and John earned themselves additional discounts on their motorcycle insurance from Adelaide Insurance Services on the day as do motorcyclists who successfully complete BikeSafe or IAM programmes.

Robert Dunlop – Racing legend and friend remembered.
Our relationship with Robert goes back many years and we recall when he officially opened Adelaide’s premises on 15 Sept. 2000. Pictured here at the opening:

Since then Robert gave up his valuable time assisting Adelaide to promote road safety in conjunction with the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
